Research the everyday journeys
We reviewed analytics and customer feedback to identify the handful of tasks people perform most, then designed the app around them.
A complete redesign and rebuild of a FinTech client’s iOS and Android banking apps, focused on intuitive everyday journeys and strong security.
The client’s consumer banking apps had grown feature by feature on separate iOS and Android codebases. Everyday tasks such as checking a balance, paying someone or reviewing a transaction took too many steps, and the two apps behaved differently.
Customers noticed. Engagement was slipping and app store reviews pointed to confusing navigation. The client needed a modern, consistent experience on both platforms without compromising the security and reliability expected of a financial product.
We reviewed analytics and customer feedback to identify the handful of tasks people perform most, then designed the app around them.
A new UI/UX design system defined components, accessibility standards and interaction patterns, prototyped and tested before development began.
Both apps were rebuilt in React Native, giving iOS and Android users the same experience and the client a single codebase to maintain.
A GraphQL layer fetches exactly the data each screen needs, while biometric sign-in and secure session handling protect every account.
